Chief Operations Officer

 Approximate Salary £125,000

Job Description

The role of the Chief Operating Officer (COO) is central to BPAS’s mission of delivering safe, effective, and compassionate reproductive healthcare services. As a COO, your responsibilities will include ensuring the seamless and efficient delivery of all operational services, from telemedicine and in-clinic care to client support services and supply chain management. You will lead the operational performance across the organisation, ensuring that every aspect of our service aligns with our vision of empowering women with the choice and access they deserve.

As a key member of the C-Suite, you will contribute to the development and implementation of BPAS’s strategy, working collaboratively with other executives to ensure that our services meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and patient satisfaction. Your leadership will be instrumental in shaping the operational structure of the organisation, optimising capacity, and driving service improvements that enhance patient outcomes and experience.

We are seeking a COO with significant experience in healthcare operations, particularly in managing complex, multi-site services within a tightly regulated environment. You will have a proven track record of leading organisational change, developing new models of care, and managing large-scale estates and procurement functions. Your strategic insight and ability to translate vision into actionable objectives will be critical as BPAS navigates a period of significant evolution and growth.

Above all, we are seeking a leader who is deeply aligned with our values and mission. Your commitment to patient safety, choice, and care will inspire our teams, trustees, and stakeholders, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.

How to Apply

All candidates will be expected to subscribe to the Nolan Principles of Public Life: Honesty, Openness, Objectivity, Selflessness, Integrity, Accountability and Leadership.

We want to hear from people who support our aims, purpose and mission, and who share our absolute commitment to women’s autonomy in reproductive rights, including the right to choose abortion.
